This Vintage “Compliments of S.R. Rudolph Irwin & Beach Pittsburgh PA multi tool kitchen antique has been in storage for over 60 years! It is in good/fair condition and could turn out beautiful with some professional care and cleaning . This antique belonged to a United States Marine, who was a picker & collector of antique kitchen items. He said he has had th is piece since the mid to late 70s , & bought it at a flea market somewhere in upstate Pennsylvania but couldn’t recall where. And he said he hasn’t touched it sinc e. He has since passed away, & and I have no other information . I did some limited research and could not find information pertaining to the inscriptions and labels on the item besides the manufacturer K -D tools below . History: The K-D Manufacturing Company (K-D Tools) is a well-known maker of automotive specialty tools. K-D Manufacturing began in 1918 as a partnership between Harry W. Kulp and Martin C. Dellinger, two inventors who were working on a new type of valve lifter. By 1919 their prototype was functional and the company began production from a home workshop in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. On occasion K-D MFG Co would make prototype tools or gifts for high end customers, family, or political officials. Which is what this rare item is. This item is priced reasonably due to its rarity and age and is a one of a kind gift for a collection or for home/business decor or display for someone who is related to or has ties to the inscriptions .
