This is a rare vintage bench vise screw and nut from the mid-1800s, made by Ohio Tool Co. in Columbus. It is a perfect fit for a woodworker's vise and is an original piece. This is an iron unit with the original wool screws handle. This is an unbelievably preserved tool from 1800's. I took it from an old giant work bench at an estate sale. At the time of removal it was working like new. The Ohio Tool Company is an iconic tool manufacturing entity. The Ohio Tool Co was in existence until 1893. At that time it went through a period of name ND ownership changes.
