Description

Rare, antique,Amish, wooden handle, wood saw used in carpentry, manufactured in late 1800s to early 1900s, this saw is an antique, perfect for collectors, resale, antique shop, or personal use for cabinet making, birdhouse or any other woodworking projects, as this antique, Amish, wood saw is in pristine shape. My grandfather, from Rushville, oh, used it in his wood shop for many years and took excellent care of his tools.Saw has a 17" blade; pistol grip, wooden handle and is 22" long. Hand grip, a pistol grip, wooden handle is 4 1/2" tall and 1" wide. The wooden handle is a dark brown stained color w/an aged patina from a century of use, but is in surprisingly excellent condition w/no scratches, scuffs, dents and still serviceable for use. Look at photos. 17" metal blade has some very light surface corrosion from age but no pitting or bumpy rust spots. Very minor. End of blade is 1 1/4" wide, handle end of blade is 2" wide. Look at photos. Wooden handle has a brown stain,no scratches, scuffs,or dirt and the whole saw has an aged patina showing it is a authentic antique. This antique carpentry saw is in excellent condition for being a century old and has a excellent patina and has a rare straight lined handle top of which I have only seen 1 on eBay. My grandfather, born in 1895, used this saw in his carpentry business in rushville, Ohio south of Columbus, building bird houses that he gave away. The metal saw blade has 11 teeth per 1 inch. Look at photos. eBay adds sales tax.
