Rare Stanley # 45 Beading Cutters w/ Holes, not Slots This is a group of Stanley cutters for the early # 45 combination planes. Stanley introduced the # 45 planes in 1884 at the same they introduced their first "Lateral Lever" on their bench planes. The first 4 types of the # 45 planes ( 1884-1892) did not have holes or slots in the cutters. Those was added in 1892 when the cutter adjuster was added. Stanley's first cutters for the # 45 with the mechanical cutter adjuster had holes instead of the common notches on later cutters. These are the early cutters with holes and according to Walter's "Big Book" only seen with the early type 5 planes in 1893. There is one molding cutter in the bunch that does have a notch or a blown out hole. You will look a very long time to find these again. They are in nice condition. The shipping includes complete insurance coverage. I try to describe the old things I sell but they are used and being sold “AS IS”. Please look at the pictures and read my return policy.
