Description

Here we have a RARE Antique 'THREE TOOL RULE CO.', Newark, NJ, Pat. 10/1/1907 Folding Rule Attachment w/ Stanley No. 84 Rule. Robert Campbell, Elizabeth, NY received Patent No. 867,556 on Oct. 1, 1907 for his "Combination Tool" invention. The three sided brass/bronze attachment has the patent date on the clamping lever. This attachment for a folding rule allow this new 'combination tool' to be used as a marking gauge, depth gauge, T-square, Try-square, etc. Swinging down the small lever pushes your rule tight against the two abutments. This is somewhat similar to the idea behind the Stanley No. 1 Odd Jobs tool. I have also included a Stanley No. 84, Brass Bound Boxwood Rule. The rule has no cracks, but is missing 2 of its leg alignment pins. This combination tool is in VERY GOOD 'used tool' condition with very minor wear. NO cracks, breaks or repairs ! Please review the pics to confirm condition !! A VERY RARE TOOL !!! It would be a great addition to your rule collection !! ** Please remember to leave Feedback. I will gladly reciprocate. :-)
