For sale is a Rare Swedish Nordlöw Axe This is an antique original Nordlöw small hatchet axe head made in Tallåsen, Sweden ca late 19th - early 20th C. The Nordlow family includes fourteen blacksmiths over six generations starting from the mid 17th C. Teh Axe is much probably made by either master blacksmith Per Nordlof or his son master blacksmith Allan Nordlöw in Tallåsen. The head is hand forged, originally painted reddish brown, very sharp with good profile. The head weighs 480grams. Unmarked but painted in the distinctive color for Nordlöw Axes. In good used condition considering the age! Measurements: The head is 12.3cm x 6.8cm x 1.9cm. Total weight is ~ 480 grams.
