Description
I have a Henry Disston 11 1/2 inch saw for sale. This saw was good horns and a handle that holds firm and is straight. It does not have a Disston marked medallion, but it is small, and so I assume by design it all looks original. I have never found such a small handsaw by Disston... it is early. The handle wood has grain rays and in good condition. The saw has been cleaned up, I was surprised to see a clear Disston makers stamp, the steel still could be improved with a good polish. The blade has very little wear, most of the wear could be removed with sanding and polish... I read it as 10 - 11 PPI. This is a rare saw, I assume collectable. I have looked at the Disston Institute online and have not been able to locate this saw, there library is not a complete guide but very useful. The stamp and rear rounded shape of the blade, and brass nuts, makes me think somewhere around the turn of the century. Rare & Collectable. Thank you for looking. I have other tools for sale in my Ebay store (Manning Antique and Vintage Tools) and can often combine shipping to keep shipping cost lower. Thank you.
